Dandelion Root

For centuries all parts of the dandelion have been used culinarily and medicinally by many cultures. Personally I have heard stories about Italian Nonas (grandmothers) on the side of the road picking dandelion greens and flowers to to add flavor and nutrients into their cuisine.

Medicinally, dandelion root has been used historically in Europe and China to treat various aliments including issues associated with the liver. The chemical composition of dandelion roots include carbohydrates, fatty acids, minerals, sugars, choline vitamins, mucilage, and pectin. Ginger Root

There are two ways that we suggest brewing this detox tea.

Single Cup

Boil 1-2 cups of water.

Steep 1-2 teaspoons of the loose leaf tea in the boiling water for 10-12 minutes.

Batch Brewing to Use as a Liver Detox Tea

Boil 4 cups of water.

Measure 2 tablespoons of the tea.

Steep the tea in the boiling water for 15-20 minutes.

Drink the cups of tea throughout the day, and repeat for 10-30 days.
